MJ WRIGHT
I am a Korean-American pianist currently residing in the DFW Metro area. I received my Bachelor's and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School of Music in New York City in Piano Performance. My working experiences have been in many different parts of the world as both a solo and collaborative artist. I worked as a staff pianist at the Juilliard School of Music in NYC, Singapore National University, Singapore Lyric Opera, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Eisemann International Competition in Richardson, Lone Star Wind Orchestra in Dallas, Richardson Symphony Orchestra, and the University of North Texas in Denton as a Teaching Assistant during my Doctoral Studies.
My performances have been at Lincoln Center in NYC, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Esplanades Performing Arts Center in Singapore, Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas, Moody Performance Hall in Dallas, Eisemann Performing Art Center in Richardson, and Murchinson Performing Art Center in Denton, and Owen Arts Center at SMU.
I have been an active teacher in North Texas since 2012 and am affiliated with the Texas Music Teachers Association and the National Music Teachers Association as well as the North Texas Music Teachers Association.
